Are you caring for a loved one dementia?
Come and meet other carers on this journey
Experiencing grief as a result of a loss is a universal human experience.
Research has shown that grief and loss experienced by caregivers of a loved one is occurring at different stages of the caring journey, bringing significant emotional stress.
This can be the result of received diagnosis, changes related to financial circumstances, deterioration of symptoms, prospects of new treatments, relinquishing of care, imminence of death or the death of a loved one.
The course focusses on restoration of your emotional functioning by understanding the theory behind grief, normalising feelings, engaging in exploration of unique personal experiences, experiential learning and peer support.
