Support for Providers

The Home Support & Partnerships Coordinator works collaboratively with a range of Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) funded and other community care agencies that provide support services to frail aged and their carers in the Northern Sydney region (Hornsby, Hunters Hill, Ku-ring-gai, Lane Cove, Manly, Mosman, North Sydney, Pittwater, Ryde, Warringah and Willoughby local government areas.

The CHSP Sector Support and Development project aims to facilitate access to aged care services and build the capacity of CHSP providers by:

– Building the capacity of CHSP providers to deliver entry-level community aged care services
– Promoting collaboration and partnerships that support the development of the community aged care services system
– Providing guidance to stakeholders to support the transition to the CHSP and access to aged care services
– Demonstrating leadership and providing advice on relevant sector management and service delivery issues

The Regional Forums are held twice yearly to support the delivery and sharing of information relevant to community care service providers throughout the region. These forums strive to share innovative ideas, spark new thoughts and promote relationships through networking.

The Forums give you the opportunity to hear from experts, discuss innovative models of care and exchange knowledge and experience amongst your peers. It is also the Forum where Government will keep you up to date with policy changes.

There are four sub-regions within the Northern Sydney region: Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Lower North Shore Manly Warringah Pittwater and Ryde Hunters Hill.

Each sub-region holds regular meetings to promote communication and service coordination between all service providers including NGO’s private organisations and government agencies operating in or serving clients who are aged or people with disabilities and their carers in the respective sub-regional areas.

All staff working in these areas are encouraged to attend.

Executive Forum

The Executive Forum is a supportive network of CEO’s across Northern Sydney who deliver a range of community and human based services. read more

 Membership to the Executive Forum must meet the following criteria:

  • * CEO or EO of a not for profit or community based business

The Executive Forum meets monthly in Northside’s offices, Chatswood from 8:30-10:30am.

Executive Forum members benefit from:

  • * Expert speakers are coordinated to present on a range of topics as set by the membership.
  • * Peer support and mentoring from a group of like- minded individuals
  • * Exchange and sharing of knowledge, tools and industry insights which enhances your organisations and your leadership capabilities.
  • * Confidentiality where you can express your thoughts and feelings as a CEO safely and without judgement.

The Forum is a $200 per year investment.
