Are you currently participating in social-outings and activities with Ability Options?
Ability Options have agreed to have Your Side take over the social support activities for young adults typically ages 18-25 years old. During the transition, clients will still meet at the usual Ability Options locations where our team will provide transportation to the planned activity.
We’ve answered some of the most commonly asked questions below. You can also view the attached Factsheet and Calendars for each location.
What happens next?
Follow these four simple steps:
1. Fill in and return the Your Side Intake form
2. We’ll then ask you to sign a Service Agreement
3. Book in for the activities you’d most enjoy
4. Turn up and have fun!
Where can I find the Intake Form?
You may have been given one if you attended one of our presentations at the Ability Options offices, or you can download a new one here which you can print, fill out and return via email or post: NDIS Participant Intake Form
Alternatively, you can call us at 1300 134 332 and we can do it over the phone.
Who do I contact if I have questions?
Your Side will be your primary point of contact. Simple call 1300 134 332 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to get in touch with Jay or Jesse, members of our friendly Customer Care Team.
When will we go?
Activities will still be held on Fridays.
Where do I meet?
Please meet at the Ability Options office, as you always do. We will take you and your friends out for exciting activities.
What Activities will we do?
Some activities will be the same as the ones you already attend with Ability Options, but there will also be some new and exciting ones!
How do I know if this is covered in my NDIS plan funding?
You can look in the NDIA Portal where it’s listed as ‘Social Community and Civic Participation’ to find your allocated amount or call the NDIA.
In the NDIS Price Guide it’s named ‘Assistance to access community, social and recreational activities.’
You can also seek assistance from your Support Coordinators and/or Plan Managers or call our Customer Care Team on 1300 134 332 who will be happy to assist.

Can I bring a friend?
Yes! Please let us know if you plan to bring a friend so we can make the necessary arrangements. He/she may have this covered as part of their NDIS plan or you may use a companion card if you have one. They may be responsible for covering some costs of the activity.
What types of activities are there?
We’re organising a variety of fun activities including, but not limited to the following:
- movies and lunch
- Go Karts
- aqua golf
- surfing lessons
- beach day
- power prize bingo and lunch
- mini golf
- dinner at RSL club
