Your Side is a not-for-profit, purpose-led organisation, meaning every cent made is invested back into the business of giving you the best possible care. Our approach puts people first, ensuring their safety, comfort and independence. We take a holistic view to assess a person’s physical and mental health, emotional wellbeing and personal goals, so we can deliver services that help everyone to live a good life.
Since the formation of North Side Community Forum in 1987 for the delivery of the Home and Community Care (HACC) Program to the Northern Sydney region, the organisation has grown and adapted to meet community needs. We established inter-agency networks to strengthen capacity and developed new initiatives and services to benefit older people, people living with disabilities and their families or carers. Over the last 30 years, with increased expertise and capacity, we have extended our reach to service the wider Sydney footprint. Northside has evolved to be Your Side, a name that reflects the business’ focus on you – our clients and community – and our dedication to giving a personalised and empathetic, human-centred service.
Our Total Care approach refers to the whole-person view we take, and the range of services and relationships we have for inter-agency referral, to provide people with wrap-around support solutions. Our team members are trained and equipped with the knowledge, processes and resources to be able to advise and facilitate the supports for every client’s unique needs, capabilities and goals.
