The Carer Gateway coaching service provides you with the opportunity to explore how your caring role affects different areas of your life.
Designed in partnership with carers, each coaching session will get you thinking about how you are going, how you’d like things to be and how you might be able to take steps towards making that happen. Each session includes information, practical tips, resources, reflection activities and stories from Australian carers.
The online coaching sessions can be accessed anywhere, anytime via your home computer, mobile or tablet.
Choose from 8 specialised coaching sessions
Each coaching session focuses on a specific topic that’s relevant to the complex life of a carer. Each session offers you the chance to reflect on your experiences of the topic and consider the experiences of other carers too.
Sessions aim to help you explore and understand your success, along with the challenges and barriers you might be facing, and are designed to assist you to move forward in areas where you might feel stuck.
You can explore the topics that are relevant to you, at a time that suits you. There’s no need to complete all eight sessions and you can access the sessions in any order you like. You can also save your progress during a session, allowing you to return later to pick up where you left off.

Carer Skills Courses
The Carer Skills courses provide information, insights and practical tips to help carers develop new understanding and skills important in their caring role.
Each free online self-paced learning modules takes approximately 20–40 minutes to complete and you can download your responses to questions in the module to use as a resource and reminder.
