Ongoing classifications
How much funding you are assigned
Under Support at Home there are EIGHT ongoing classifications of funding, ranging from low (1) to high (8). You will receive an annual budget for your approved classification, which is issued quarterly. You may request a review if your needs change at any time.
There are FOUR separate classifications that will only be used for transitioned Home Care Package recipients who have not been reassessed under Support at Home. These classifications correlate to the four levels of funding previously provided under the Home Care Package program.
While you are receiving services using an ongoing classification, you may also apply for one of the three additional funding streams for short-term support.
Additional three short-term support classifications
- Restorative Care Pathway for temporary care services to help older people regain or maintain independence.
- End-of-Life Pathway to support older people who have 3 months or less to live and wish to remain at home.
- Assistive Technology and Home Modifications (AT-HM) scheme for older people with an assessed need for products, equipment and home modifications to facilitate safe mobility.
