Unpacking Support at Home
There’s a lot of information on Support at Home available, but it can be hard to understand, and to work out what it means for you in your individual situation. We know that, sometimes, you just want to talk to a real person who understands your situation and cares about helping you get the right information and services. To give you that opportunity, we are hosting a series of Support at Home Information Sessions over the coming months across Sydney.
At these informative presentations our Aged Care Support Specialists will demystify the changes to aged care that Support at Home brings. Whether you are currently receiving aged care, or you are trying to get some support set up either for yourself or your loved ones, we can help.
Our Aged Care Support Specialists will explain what it means for you, and can help you access the funding and services you need.
Some of the points we will cover are:
- The main differences of Support at Home and how it will improve the aged care experience
- The funding – how much money is available in Support at Home classifications and how that compares with Home Care Package levels
- Who pays contributions and for what types of services
- What it means for your funding, if you are on a Home Care Package
- If your Home Care Package is being grandfathered and what that means
- What happens to surplus or unspent funds under Support at Home
- And much more.
You can also ask questions at the end of the sessions and request a one-to-one private consultation with the Aged Care Support Specialists so they can look at your individual situation and advise you.
Come and have a cuppa with us, and we will help you find the information you need!
These sessions are free to attend but please register so we can arrange catering for the right numbers. There are a range of locations so you can find one nearest to you.
