Tracey Spicer AM GAICD

Tracey Spicer AM is a multiple Walkley Award winning author, journalist and broadcaster who has anchored national programs for ABC TV and radio, Network Ten and Sky News. In 2019 Tracey was named the NSW Premier’s Woman of the Year, accepted the Sydney Peace Prize alongside Tarana Burke for the Me Too movement, and won the national award for Excellence in Women’s Leadership through Women & Leadership Australia.

Her bestselling autobiography, The Good Girl Stripped Bare, is described as a memoir and a manifesto and her TEDx talk, The Lady Stripped Bare, has garnered more than six million views. She has won a multitude of awards for her journalism and was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia “for significant service to the broadcast media as a journalist and television presenter, and as an ambassador for social welfare and charitable groups“.

In 2024, DARE Magazine named Tracey in its inaugural ‘Fifty over 50’ list. This is aimed at celebrating those who are making, “a positive impact on our community and society, or flying the flag for a fulfilling, rewarding life over 50”.

Tracey has been an advocate and ambassador for a gamut of charitable and social change causes, and strongly believes our society should place higher value on its elders.

While working full-time and raising two children, Tracey was a carer for her beloved grandfather in his final years. Her father now has emphysema and after a period receiving in-home support, he moved into residential care. The delivery of human-rights-centred, empathetic care is something Tracey is passionate about, and we are honoured to have her support.
