Meet FRED SKELTON – Skeleton Staff

Tell us a bit about yourself and your role at Your Side

Hi there! I’m Fred, the Skeleton Staff here at Your Side. Although I am technically a volunteer, I like to think I work pro bone-o (boom boom tish). I’m a pretty transparent guy, no bones about me. If you ever need someone to fill in for an absent employee or help with some spooky skeleton puns, I’m your man. I’ve been around for a skele-ton of years, so I consider myself an expert on several topics (like the early Neolithic period and fashion) and happy to help out where I can.

In my spare time I like bike riding, playing the trombone, dress ups, soil science and napping. I am allergic to shellfish.

What are your qualifications/background?

I’m part of the Institute of Bone and Joint Research (IBJR) at the University of Sydney. I’m also a bit of social media influencer on Instagram and I model part time. Some projects I’ve worked on include “Workplace Humerus Research” and “The Art of Surprise Workshop – Team Training”.

Which languages do you speak?

English and a handful of lost Paleo-European languages (tourist level).

Why did you join Your Side?

Did I ever really join Your Side? Or have I always been here…..? Sometimes I feel like I’m part of the furniture! I am usually the first one in and the last one out of the office. I really like all my colleagues, although sometimes I think they are a little spooked by my presence, especially if they walk in on me unexpectedly. I guess I just have one of those faces. That’s what I like most about Your Side, everyone works together, has fun and shares a humerus laugh or two.
